The Metal Studs

The Metal Studs was born from a chance encounter on a cruise ship in the Caribbean: rock legends Barend Courbois and Ruud de Gruijter ran into each other for the first time in years after a long period apart. Five days of classic rock and drinks later, the plan was set.

Together with some musical friends, they formed a band that plays classic rock covers - with no limits on repertoire or show. The programme features classics from Van Halen, Foreigner, Rainbow, Ozzy, Whitesnake, Foghat, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Journey and more, delivered with heavy riffs, screaming guitars, a thundering double bass drum, rumbling bass, Hammond organ and a vocalist who handles it all effortlessly.

Comb your hair with a guitar, wrap sweatbands around your wrists, slip into your slightly too-tight jeans and pull on your oldest black t-shirt - and feel like you're back in 1982.
