Rocco Ostermann doesn't imitate Johnny Cash's versions-he elevates them to a new dimension. His voice carries the coffee-brown profile of The Man in Black, but he does far more than mimic. The concerts move between apocalyptic gospels and country-blues songs - high masses for the shadow-boxing human fighting their demons.

Cash was poet and rebel at once, balancing on the thin line between good and evil, and it was precisely there he found the thread that brought him salvation and inspired many outcasts. Ostermann brings that understanding to his interpretations of 'Cash, the American Recordings', a programme he has already performed at concerts and festivals in the Netherlands, Germany and Ireland.
