Stapelgek is a performance based on the picture book "Sjoerd and the Stacking City" by Barry Menger and Mats Ganzeman. The city is under constant construction: adults want more and more, fuller and fuller - so full that there is no room left for children to play outside. Sjoerd, one of those children, dreams of becoming an architect and comes up with a wild plan. Using building blocks and wooden figures, the performers bring his exciting and daring plan to life.

The performance is wordless, but filled with building sounds and funny slapstick scenes. A story about building, perseverance, and never giving up.
