Growing up without a father - and being unable to talk about it - are experiences all too familiar within the Black community. In Vaderziel alleen, Sarah-Jane Wijdenbosch shares how that absence shaped her. As a young girl, she discovers her father has a completely separate family, and that she and her mother are entirely excluded from it. What choices do you make then? And how does that shape the woman you become?

In this solo performance, Sarah-Jane shares her personal experiences in a confrontational, playful, funny and musical way. Themes such as bullying, negative self-image and depression are explored.
