Koekie Boekie Sinterklaas Edition with Charlotte Dematons (4+)

Koekie Boekie is a storytelling programme for children and parents from Rotterdam-Noord, featuring stories in which everyone can see themselves - sometimes funny, sometimes moving, always with an open perspective. This edition has a Sinterklaas theme and illustrator Charlotte Dematons will be reading.

Charlotte Dematons grew up in Normandy and later studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, where she specialised in illustration and design. Her debut picture book Dido was created following a commission from publisher Lemniscaat, who noticed her work at the graduation exhibition. Since then, she has created illustrations and picture books for various publishers and magazines, including the search-and-find books The Yellow Balloon and Sinterklaas. For Grimm she received the Silver Pencil in 2006; Sinterklaas, which sold more than 100,000 copies within four years, was awarded the Golden Pencil in 2008.

After the event, there is the Koekie Koffie Café, where children can play or colour and parents can chat over a cup of coffee.
