Ruth Elings & Marlies Bloemen
Sat, 17 Oct 2026 · 20:30 — 23:00
Het Klooster Oude Noorden, Rotterdam
Ruth Elings reflects with sharp humor and self-mockery on her love-hate relationship with the transverse flute - the most stereotypical girls' instrument of the 1990s and 2000s. Her show explores expectations, peer pressure, and finding your own voice, with musical flair woven throughout.
Marlies Bloemen loves structure, but also knows that a too-predictable life brings its own problems. In her musical performance "Te goed", she wrestles with the question of how to find balance between control and letting go - and with the thought that when everything is perfectly in order, something is bound to go wrong eventually.
