Milarepa | Eric Borrias

In the 1990s, theatre maker and actor Helmert Woudenberg created three solo performances about Milarepa, the eleventh-century Tibetan historical figure whose path to enlightenment remains an inspiration today. In collaboration with Woudenberg, Eric Borrias now weaves these three solos into a single new production.

As a youth, Milarepa is humiliated, and that humiliation drives him to revenge - a terrible revenge, with innocent victims, death and destruction. But it brings no peace. Borrias follows his path from revenge to enlightenment, from birth to death and rebirth.
