Yori

Yori Devi Swart is a North Holland-based singer-songwriter who creates indie-pop with folk influences. She received guitar lessons from her father Cees Swart at age ten and began writing songs three years later, encouraged by her mother. In 2011 she graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory, where as a student she won the Sena Performers PopNL Award, the Amsterdam Pop Prize, and NH Pop Live. At the end of 2011 she also won the Grand Prize of the Netherlands in the singer-songwriter category, after which 3FM named her Serious Talent and she appeared twice on De Wereld Draait Door. Major artists such as Agnes Obel, Tim Knol, Wende Snijders, and De Dijk invited her as a support act. In 2015 she completed a master's degree at the Amsterdam Conservatory.

In recent years, Yori has written for artists including Roxeanne Hazes, Bente, Maan, and Meau, and played guitar and sang in the band of Ilse DeLange. In November 2023 her EP 'Wanna Be So High' was released, followed by a tour of Dutch clubs. After a period in which she became a mother, she is now working on a new single, an album, and a theatre tour.
