SaRon Crenshaw & band — Cultureel Café De Amer, Amen

SaRon Crenshaw takes the stage at Amer for the second time. He has been playing guitar since age ten and is regarded as one of the great guardians of the blues with a soul twist. Artists such as Bobby Rush, Denise LaSalle, and Tyrone Davis have praised his playing, and Robert Cray and B.B. King invited him to open their concerts. The Gibson Lucille guitar he plays was personally signed by B.B. King.

Crenshaw has been active in the blues and jazz scene around New York since the 1970s and was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2011. With his European band Blind B' & The Visionaires, he recorded the live CD "Goin' To The Get Deep" at the Berkelse Bluesclub. His second album of this year, "Drivin'", is a double album with ten tracks that he wrote himself.

His concerts are characterized by a warm voice and a distinctive guitar style. SaRon is also known for literally playing among the audience, which gives his sets a distinctly interactive character.
