On 4 October, Katie Henry and her band perform at Cultureel Café De Amer. The American multi-instrumentalist plays blues, soul and funk - with raw guitar work, Hammond organ grooves and a direct voice as signature ingredients.

Henry began her musical career at the piano in New Jersey, but the guitar proved equally suited to her. She built her reputation in New York's clubs and achieved international breakthrough during the Blues Caravan tour. Her albums reached the American Billboard Blues charts, and her most recent album Get Goin' was produced by Bernard Allison - himself no stranger to De Amer - and received critical acclaim.
