Young the Giant is an American alternative rock band from Irvine, California, formed in 2004. The five-piece - Sameer Gadhia (vocals), Jacob Tilley and Eric Cannata (guitars), Payam Doostzadeh (bass) and Francois Comtois (drums) - broke through with their 2010 self-titled debut, home to the hits 'My Body' and 'Cough Syrup'. Over six studio albums they have built a reputation as one of the most consistent acts in American indie rock.
