The Flamin' Groovies

About

The Flamin' Groovies are an American rock band founded in San Francisco in 1965 by Cyril Jordan and Roy Loney. Long regarded as forerunners of both punk and power pop, they never broke through commercially, yet built a devoted international following. Their 1976 album Shake Some Action, produced by Dave Edmunds, is widely considered a garage-rock landmark. After a lengthy hiatus, the band returned to the stage in 2013 and has been touring steadily ever since.
