PORTRAY is a psychedelic garage rock band from Nijmegen, formed in 2023. The four-piece - Dave Marvin (guitar), Bob Boer (keys), Nele Claassen (drums) and Jasper Weynans (bass) - blends raw garage rock with punk energy and melancholic psychedelia. They are known for outspoken live shows mixing protest and humour, and have played Valkhof Festival, Roadburn OFFROAD and the final of De Roos van Nijmegen.
PORTRAY performed in April 2026 at Roadburn OFFROAD in Tilburg, the free side program of the international Roadburn Festival.
Ugenda published in April 2026 an interview with PORTRAY about their musical inspiration, in which the band also confirmed their performance at Roadburn OFFROAD.
PORTRAY participates again in 2026 in the Popronde, the traveling Dutch music festival for emerging acts.
In September 2025 PORTRAY presented their self-titled debut EP with a release show in Merleyn, Nijmegen.
PORTRAY was in the final of De Roos van Nijmegen in May 2025, the renowned band competition for Nijmegen acts, in Doornroosje.
