Ora Cogan
Israeli singer Ora Cogan performs an intimate show at Rotterdam's Rotown venue.
Ora Cogan is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, now based in Nanaimo. Her music moves between folk, shoegaze, country-noir and psychedelia - genres that only partly capture her sound. After releasing a string of albums on small labels, she signed with Sacred Bones Records for her tenth record, Hard Hearted Woman (2026), which was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize. Alongside her music career, she works as an activist and photojournalist, including documenting the Fairy Creek old-growth logging protests of 2020 and 2021.
Hard Hearted Woman was included in the longlist of the Polaris Music Prize 2026, the first Polaris nomination for Cogan.
Hard Hearted Woman, her debut on Sacred Bones Records, was released on March 13, 2026 and was followed by a European tour.
The Bury Me EP was released on April 4, 2025 as a limited 7" single, available at European tour dates around the Roadburn Festival.
Cogan collaborated as a guest artist on Only Dust Remains, the fifth album by Canadian rapper Backxwash, released on March 28, 2025.
A special European edition of the album Formless was released on May 31, 2024 on black-and-white vinyl via Prism Tongue Records.
😴 Nothing scheduled with this artist in the near future.
