Laura Veirs

Laura Veirs is an American singer-songwriter known for her folk and alternative country records. Following her collaborations with Neko Case and k.d. Lang, her solo work has increasingly come into the spotlight.

She returns with 'Temple Songs', her first album in four years. She wrote, played, arranged and produced the record almost entirely herself, recorded in her small home studio in the backyard of her house in Portland - with two microphones and a laptop. This gives the whole thing a deliberately organic, human sound.

VPRO 3voor12 named 'Temple Songs' Album of the Week in August. The record is understated and personal, with fragile vocals and plenty of space - a must-hear for fans of Laura Marling and Sufjan Stevens.
