Firtan + Bezwering
Two German and Dutch metal bands at Musicon: Firtan brings progressive black metal with violin and synthesizers, Bezwering plays their own 'Gueldrian Undeath Metal'.
Firtan is a black metal band from Lörrach in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, founded in 2010. Starting out in pagan metal, the five-piece has grown into one of the more distinctive acts in the German extreme metal scene, blending the raw energy of 1990s Norwegian black metal with progressive structures, violin, dulcimer and analogue synthesizers. Their fourth studio album Ethos (2024, AOP Records) tackles existential themes through stark contrasts of harmony and dissonance. A live album, Live at Summer Breeze, followed in February 2026, recorded at their Summer Breeze Open Air 2025 performance.
Firtan released the live album Live at Summer Breeze on 6 February 2026, recorded during their performance at Summer Breeze Open Air 2025.
In January 2026, Firtan played a European tour through cities such as Munich, Heidelberg, Hamburg, Leeuwarden and Nijmegen.
In autumn 2025, Firtan was in the opening act of the 30 Years Anniversary Shows of the Swedish Thyrfing.
In summer 2025, Firtan performed at both Summer Breeze Open Air and Party.San Metal Open Air.
In autumn 2024, Firtan toured as opening act for Bucovina through Europe, with a total of 16 concerts in 8 countries.
