Eliades Ochoa is a Cuban guitarist and singer from Santiago de Cuba, rooted in son cubano and bolero. He rose to international fame as a member of the Buena Vista Social Club, the collective that brought traditional Cuban music back to global audiences in the 1990s. His raw guitar style and trademark cowboy hat make him one of the most distinctive figures in the genre.
