Dub Pistols are a British band founded by frontman Barry Ashworth, emerging from the mid-1990s big beat scene. Their sound blends dub, punk, ska, jungle and hip-hop, with their debut album 'Point Blank' arriving in 1998. Over ten albums and three decades they have collaborated with Terry Hall (The Specials), Busta Rhymes and Gregory Isaacs, and Ashworth also runs the Mucky Weekender festival in Winchester, now a fixture of the UK underground dance calendar.

The Mucky Weekender festival, organized by Barry Ashworth, returns in September 2026 for the sixth time to Vicarage Farm in Winchester.

The fifth edition of Mucky Weekender took place in September 2025 with Groove Armada, Norman Jay and David Rodigan among others on the lineup.

The album 'Frontline' (2023) reached number 1 position in the British official indie album chart and was played by among others Lauren Laverne and Craig Charles.
2024
The band played shows in 2024 in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Romania and Bulgaria as part of their international tour.
