Dub Pistols

Dub Pistols emerged from the big beat explosion of the mid-1990s - a reaction against stereotypical house music, with plenty of experimentation. Frontman Barry Ashworth and his friend Jason O'Bryan started creating hard-hitting beats in the vein of The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim. Their bombastic debut single 'There's Gonna Be A Riot' was released on Concrete Records, followed by their debut album 'Point Blank' in 1998.

The band has now been active for over 25 years and released 10 albums, with a sound drawing from dub, punk, jungle, ska, breakbeat and hip-hop. In 2025, a brand new album, a live reggae record and a reissue of 'Point Blank' are coming out. Dub Pistols take the stage at Burgerweeshuis in Deventer with a tight live band.
