Dayna Kurtz is an American singer-songwriter based in New Orleans whose music weaves together jazz, folk, blues and Americana. She started performing in 1989 and was named Female Songwriter of the Year by the National Academy of Songwriters in 1997. Her international breakthrough came in the Netherlands, where her debut album Postcards from Downtown reached the local Top 20 and sold out Amsterdam's Paradiso. Artists including Norah Jones and Bonnie Raitt have praised her work, and she has toured as support for Elvis Costello, Richard Thompson and Mavis Staples, among others.
