Buffalo Tom is an American alternative rock band from Boston, formed in 1986 by Bill Janovitz (guitar/vocals), Chris Colbourn (bass/vocals) and Tom Maginnis (drums), who met as students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After a lengthy hiatus, the band returned in 2007 and have continued recording, releasing their tenth studio album "Jump Rope" in 2024 on their own Scrawny Records.
