Ben Sims is a British techno DJ, producer and label owner born in England in 1974. Starting out on pirate radio in Essex and East London, he became one of the most in-demand techno DJs of the 1990s, renowned for his tight three-to-five deck mixing and a signature blend of hard funk and hardgroove. He founded the Theory Recordings and Hardgroove labels and has remixed Detroit legends Jeff Mills, Robert Hood and Kevin Saunderson - a rare distinction for a UK artist. His regular haunts include Fabric, Berghain and Awakenings.
