Marja van Katendrecht - Heel Holland Hoopt
Marja van Katendrecht, known from De Tupperware Show, De Dooie Sterrenparade and Aan Boord bij Marja, is a regular guest at Walhalla. In HEEL HOLLAND HOOPT she explores with the audience what it means to hope - for love, recognition, a new coat, for something better than yesterday. Heavy themes like loneliness, longing and connection are given space without losing their edge.
The performance features absurd scenes, poetry, music and moments of vulnerability. Marja actively involves the audience: you quickly become more than a spectator, but part of the evening itself. No two performances are the same.
Theaterkrant wrote about her earlier work: "She's very good at talking. It's impressive how Van Katendrecht maintains a serious undertone about loneliness and escapism."
