The Scratch (IE) + DUG (IE)

The Scratch is an Irish folk-metal band that combines acoustic instruments with the energy of metal. They have toured the US, Europe and Australia and played major festivals. This December they perform at VERA.

Their new album Pull Like A Dog is inspired by a quote from Irish Olympic rowers Gary and Paul O'Donovan: "Close your eyes and pull like a dog." Those words grew into a symbol of pure perseverance and form the guiding thread for the album, on which the band deepens their mix of folk and metal.

Irish Americana-folk duo DUG, with indie-soul influences, opens the show.
