Waiting for A.N.N.A.

Waiting for A.N.N.A. is a theatre production by Triekeltrak (Planktaal) about Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Through play, music and poetry, the show explores how memories fade, how confusion and humour alternate, and how love endures - even when words disappear. A.N.N.A. stands for "Always Ask Again, Never Assume".

Four women and a young man take the audience into the lives of people living with dementia. The focus is not only on the patient: family members, informal carers and care professionals also feature, sharing their stories, their helplessness and their love. Light moments alternate with poetic scenes and recognizable situations.

During the interval and after the show, there is an opportunity to speak informally with professionals about the theme and exchange personal experiences.

The production is suitable for care facilities, nursing homes, informal care organizations, Alzheimer's cafés, senior associations and the general public.
