Veenfabriek - Frankenstein

On Saturday 20 March at 20:00, Veenfabriek presents Frankenstein, an inventive horror production based on Mary Shelley's 1818 gothic novel. Director Joeri Vos poses questions as urgent now as they were then: are we creating new monsters? Are we at a turning point in our creative ambition?

The musicians of Veenfabriek draw inspiration from Romantic composers and attempt to finally complete Schubert's Unfinished Symphony. The music moves between industrial horror, synthpop and ritual ecstasy. Designer John van Oostrum builds an installation around a dissected pipe organ.
