Is dit nu liefde is a musical theatre production about the manosphere and how to find each other despite generational trauma and entrenched gender roles. The performance takes place on Saturday, 24 October at 20:00.

Ayşegül Karaca grew up in a family marked by domestic violence. In her third production, she translates those personal experiences into a piece about a complex mother-son relationship. What does it do to a mother when she recognizes the character traits of her violent husband in the child she loves? And what does it do to a child when his mother would rather hide half of his DNA?

Midas grows up as a little prince who wants for nothing. But in an attempt to get closer to him, his mother pushes him away instead. As a young adult, he doesn't feel seen in his 'masculinity' and becomes seduced by traditional and misogynistic ideas online - despite his feminist upbringing.
