Matzer - Pretty Girls

Matzer Theaterproducties presents the musical theatre production "Pretty Girls" on Saturday, 21 November at 20:00 at Theater De Verbeelding.

After the death of her great love, a woman discovers the hidden life and unspoken family history of her partner. What begins as grief grows into a compelling search - and the question of whether you can continue to love someone who turned out to be a stranger. The production moves at the intersection of personal tragedy and a system of guilt, injustice against women, and deferred responsibility: a colonial legacy that continues to shape and distort lives generations later.

Following "Kantjil en de Tijger", "TROOST" and "Jam Karet", creator Melissa Knollenburg - supported by investigative journalist Griselda Molemans of Follow the Money - turns her gaze to the untold history of women in wartime.
