The Invite

Angela (Olivia Wilde) and Joe (Seth Rogen) are stuck in a rut of neurotic bickering. Their eccentric upstairs neighbors Hawk (Edward Norton) and Pina (Penélope Cruz) seem particularly active at night, much to Joe's annoyance. When Angela invites them over for dinner, Joe sees it as his chance to confront them - leading to an evening full of unexpected twists.

The film is based on the Spanish film Sentimental, which has already been remade in several countries. Director and actress Olivia Wilde (Booksmart, Don't Worry Darling) collaborated with Will McCormack and Rashida Jones on the screenplay. The Invite explores sex, relationships and marriage, keeping viewers constantly off balance. The film received excellent reviews at its world premiere at Sundance.
