Julia Sabaté
Julia Sabaté grew up between two cultures - half Spanish, half Dutch - and grappled with questions of identity and self-image. She eventually found balance by expressing her thoughts in Spanish.
Her new single 'Vacía' explores the aftermath of a profound experience and the urge to distract yourself in order to forget. The track is the first glimpse of her upcoming album Egoísta, a collection of fourteen songs each representing a different coping mechanism on the path to rediscovering yourself.
In 2024, she released her debut EP 'CALLADA', after which her tracks were featured in Spotify playlists including Fresh Finds España, EQUAL España and New Music Friday NL. She performed at BIME (Bilbao), Eurosonic Noorderslag 2024, Mad Cool Festival (Madrid) and Pukkelpop (Belgium), and opened for Froukje during her Belgium tour. In 2025 she received a Talent Award in the Netherlands. She writes and produces her music together with Ruben Sieben and Koen Hermans.
To celebrate the release of Egoísta, Julia Sabaté is touring Dutch clubs in autumn 2026. Simplon in Groningen is on the schedule.
