ILUKA

ILUKA is an Australian pop cowgirl who uses her music as protest - against misogyny, endless criticism of women, and emotionally unavailable men. Her sound combines catchy pop hooks with raw vocals, and her fairy-tale appearance is deliberately misleading: the message hits hard through the speakers. As she puts it herself: "I'm not your manic pixie dream girl."\n\nMusic runs in her blood - her father is a guitar builder, and at age seven she was already recording her first songs. That early start grew into millions of streams and attention from outlets including Rolling Stone. In November she released her latest album the wild, the innocent & the raging, after which she took The Wings Tour to stages across the world.\n\nNow ILUKA takes the stage at De Helling in Utrecht.
