About: Reinier Baas

Reinier Baas is a Dutch jazz pianist and guitarist known for his playful, idiosyncratic approach to improvisation. He has released several albums under his own name and frequently collaborates with prominent figures in the Dutch jazz scene. His music sits somewhere between jazz, free improvisation and a touch of avant-garde.

About: Ben van Gelder

Groningen-born alto saxophonist Ben van Gelder made his name on the New York jazz scene before returning as a composer with a sound entirely his own. His latest album Manifold, written for an international octet built around the pipe organ, drew international attention and confirmed his standing as one of the most compelling Dutch jazz voices working today.
