State Power release show

Utrecht hardcore supergroup State Power celebrates the release of their debut album HYPERSTITION with a release show at De Helling. Five hardcore bands from the Low Countries are on the bill.

STATE POWER
State Power formed when members of Tusky, Bony Macaroni, Two and a Half Girl and Half Cab joined forces. After a series of EPs and a well-attended Popronde, HYPERSTITION is the next step: a collection of thrash-infused hardcore bangers that the band describes as "a manifestation of pure love in its most aggressive form".

PRIMITIVE BLISS
Members of Hawser, Voidcrawler and Deathtrap make up Primitive Bliss - a band with little patience for fascistic tech giants, influencers and the manosphere. Their sound takes you back to prehistory. Phones in the venue are explicitly not welcome.

COALMINE CANARY
Coalmine Canary combines mathematically reasoned hardcore, noise-punk and pronounced stage acrobatics into a completely derailed live show. Reference points: The Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge and Better Lovers.

WRONG MAN
Belgian post-hardcore band Wrong Man was founded in 2021 by members of Oathbreaker, Rise And Fall and Partisan. Their music is as loud as it is melodic, with occasional bluesy and melancholic detours - think Fugazi or Turnstile, but with a raw post-punk edge.

CURSELIFTER
Curselifter plays aggressive metallic hardcore with lyrics that take a stand against violent oppression and injustice. Their live shows are known for two-stepping, stage diving and plenty of friendly violence in the pit.
