Gruppo Sportivo // Stop Motion - The 50th Anniversary Tour

In 2026, Gruppo Sportivo celebrates half a century of existence. The band, originally from The Hague, marks this milestone with a final tour across pop venues and festivals: the Stop Motion - The 50th Anniversary Tour.

The line-up features frontman and creative driving force Vandenburg, singers Lies Schilp and Inge Bonthond (aka Bombitas), keyboardist Len de Quant - who took over in 2024 from his late mentor Peter Calicher - alongside founding member and drummer Max Mollinger and bassist Tim Barning.

Audiences can expect Dutch pop classics such as Hey Girl, Beep Beep Love, Disco Really Made It, Tokyo and Rock 'n Roll. But those familiar with Gruppo Sportivo know the band is unafraid to make unconventional choices from their extensive repertoire.
