Food: Preservation

When we think of preservation, we think of pickling, fermenting and canning - techniques and recipes passed down through generations in countless cultures. What exactly are we preserving in those jars? And how does food ensure that we are preserved?

In this edition of We Came From the Future, Inconvenience Store invites makers, thinkers and doers who explore food from the perspective of preservation. Alongside free time to develop your own project or explore your questions, there is a fermentation workshop by Lisa Zakharova on the programme and we prepare dinner together.

On 26 September you are welcome from 10:00 to 21:00 at Buitenplaats Brienenoord. Doors open at 9:30. Lunch and dinner are included. Places are limited, so register in time.
