Día de Muertos: Lo Poloko

Lo Poloko is a Rotterdam-based collective of musicians with roots in Mexican, Chilean, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese cultures. This year they celebrate Día de Muertos again at GROUNDS, with a programme ranging from mariachi and Balkan sounds to Latin grooves, rock, ska, cumbia, reggae, dub and energetic percussion.

Día de Muertos is a two-day festival where the living and the dead are reunited. Families create "ofrendas" - offerings to honour deceased family members and invite their souls to join the celebration. You are welcome to bring your own "ofrendas".
