Stippenlift
Stippenlift (Hugo van de Poel) performs live, but not in the usual way: at this concert, the audience itself decides how the music unfolds, not the artist. Each visitor creates their own version of the performance.
Throughout the evening, Theater Utrecht engages with Stippenlift in conversation about sensory stimuli, neurodiversity, and how concerts can become more accessible for people who struggle with the standard way of experiencing live music. Can danceable and calm music exist simultaneously? What does this ask of the artist, the stage, and the audience?
The programme takes place seated in the attic of Theater Utrecht, with a limited number of visitors. The venue aims to organize the entire experience as stimulus-neutral as possible - this too is part of the experiment.
