Solange - A Seat at the Table | Album Deep Listening Session

As part of the Haarlem Vinyl Festival, Pitchblack Playback, FFF Sound System and Koda organize four deep listening sessions at Teylers Museum. Each session features one album played from start to finish in a pitch-black room, without phones, with full attention.

On Saturday from 14:30 to 16:30, Solange's "A Seat at the Table" takes the stage - ten years after its release. The album (51:43) moves between soul, R&B, funk and spoken word, with layered vocals and refined arrangements that reveal more with each listen.

The sound is provided by FFF Sound System, a high-fidelity four-way horn system from Rotterdam, designed and built by Form Follows Frequency. The system is tuned to the acoustics of the space so that every detail sounds with great clarity.

The sessions take place at Teylers Museum (Pieter Teylers Huis), the oldest museum in the Netherlands, opened in 1784. The ticket includes access to the museum and a recycled cotton eye mask from Pitchblack Playback.
