Solange - A Seat at the Table | Album Deep Listening Session
Listen to Solange's 'A Seat at the Table' in complete darkness, from start to finish, on a high-fidelity horn system at Teylers Museum.
Solange Knowles (Houston, 1986) is an American singer-songwriter, producer and visual artist working across soul, R&B and funk. Her third album *A Seat at the Table* (2016) debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and won a Grammy for Best R&B Performance; her fourth, *When I Get Home* (2019), pushed further into psychedelic soul and jazz. Alongside her music she runs Saint Heron, a cultural institution spanning art, design, publishing and performance.
Solange appeared on the cover of the spring issue of AnOther Magazine (edition on the occasion of the magazine's 25th anniversary), with an extensive interview about her work and Saint Heron.
Solange was spotted in the studio in Paris with producer Pi'erre Bourne, which fueled speculation about a successor to *When I Get Home* (2019).
In an interview with Vogue Australia, Solange revealed that she had designated 2025 as the year to dedicate herself entirely to writing new music.
Saint Heron published a zine about the second edition of Solange's performance series 'Eldorado Ballroom', which was presented at BAM and redeveloped in collaboration with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
