Iran in Resistance: Women Loud and Leading. Presented by Don't Stop Talking About Iran

Don't Stop Talking About Iran organizes this evening around the power of the Iranian resistance movement, with special attention to the role of women within it. Central is the documentary Nasrin (2021, Farsi with English subtitles) about human rights advocate Nasrin Sotoudeh, who has been imprisoned multiple times for her work on human and women's rights. She is one of thousands of Iranians - activists, journalists, lawyers, artists - who have been fighting for freedom and human rights from within for decades, not as a geopolitical project but as a daily reality.

After the film, there will be a discussion with Mansoureh Shojaee, writer, researcher and active in the Iranian women's rights movement for decades.
