Miles (2026): Presented by Steppin' Into Tomorrow

Music platform Steppin' Into Tomorrow presents MILES, a new documentary about jazz legend Miles Davis, who would have turned 100 this year. Director Patrick Savey takes a different approach than previous films about Davis: MILES does not attempt to explain who he was, but instead explores how he created.

The film draws on stories from musicians who played with him, including Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Marcus Miller, John McLaughlin and Carlos Santana. They sketch a working method without fixed frameworks or certainties, driven by risk and innovation. The result is a mosaic-like documentary about an artist who continually let go of the familiar.
