David Eugene Edwards

David Eugene Edwards - known from 16 Horsepower and Wovenhand - plays on 18 November at Muziekgieterij in Maastricht. He emerged from the Denver underground in the nineties, and with 16 Horsepower built an audience primarily in France, Belgium, Scandinavia, Germany and the Netherlands. With Wovenhand he developed that sound further, branching into post-punk, neofolk, metal and experimental scenes.

In May his second solo album Mercurial Silence is released, opening a new chapter in his work. His live shows are ritualistic in character, sustained by old musical traditions, devotion and raw emotion.
