Description was written before the event

The Hague String Trio and pianist Ksenia Kouzmenko perform on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 at Kasteel Amerongen. This 17th-century castle on the Rhine in the Utrecht village of Amerongen provides an intimate setting for classical chamber music. The ensemble brings two Dutch concerts this season; after Amerongen, they return for a performance at Museum Schokland on 25 September. The castle, largely rebuilt after destruction in 1672, offers a historic backdrop for the evening's music.

About the venue: Kasteel Amerongen

Kasteel Amerongen is a 17th-century castle in the village of Amerongen, on the banks of the Rhine in Utrecht province. The current building was largely rebuilt after French troops razed it in 1672. Today it functions as a museum, with well-preserved historic interiors, family portraits and silverware on display. The castle also hosts cultural events and guided tours throughout the year.
