Blikopener: Attic Ocean + L'orne + Laura Palmer

On Friday, October 9, a new edition of Blikopener takes the stage, this time dedicated to shoegaze, noise rock and slowcore. Three bands - Attic Ocean, L'orne and Laura Palmer - deliver an evening ranging from raw and experimental to melodic and melancholic. For fans of Slowdive, Duster and 80's New Wave.

Attic Ocean is a five-piece shoegaze band from Düsseldorf with shimmering guitar textures and the voice of singer Hanni. They combine nostalgic 90s influences with dream pop elements; their second EP was mastered by Simon Scott, drummer of Slowdive.

L'orne moves through doomy post-rock, ethereal slowcore and psychedelic noise rock. The band works with drama and dynamics, complemented by live visuals, and surprises the audience with emotional compositions.

Laura Palmer, founded in 2012 and from The Hague, embraces shoegaze with modern experiments. The band balances on abrasive melodies and dreamy soundscapes, resulting in a dystopian soundtrack.
