De Kroepoekfabriek, Vlaardingen
Australian party band Playlunch takes the stage on Sunday, 13 September at De Kroepoekfabriek in Vlaardingen. The band emerged during lockdown in a Melbourne studio and describes their sound as 'bogan funk' - a blend of retro dance music, Australian nostalgia from the late 1990s and early 2000s, and a hefty dose of unapologetic suburban swagger. If you're curious what a cross between Earth, Wind & Fire and Amyl and The Sniffers sounds like, this is the place to find out.
Since their breakthrough in April 2022, Playlunch quickly grew from cult phenomenon to one of Australia's most talked-about new acts. Their debut album Who's Ready For A Good Time? (2023) generated viral TikTok moments and sold-out shows across the country. On their second album Sex Ed, the single 'Keith' racked up over 3 million streams and hit number 1 on Spotify's Viral 50.
Playlunch's live shows are known for turning any audience into a sweaty, laughing, dancing chaos.
