Lunchconcert Grote Kerk
took place · 10 Sep 2026
Description was written before the event
Every Thursday from 12:45 to 13:15, city organist Aad Zoutendijk performs a lunchconcert in the Grote Kerk in Vlaardingen. He draws from a broad and often surprising repertoire, with regular space for improvisations. Special attention goes to southern composers such as Couperin, Dandrieu and de Grigny - composers whose work is shown to best advantage on this instrument.
Since 2024, the Grote Kerk has been withdrawn from religious services and will be converted into a library and meeting place after October 2026. The monumental organ will retain a permanent place after the renovation, and the lunchconcerts will continue as usual.
Admission is free.
