The Coincidences

The Coincidences are rooted in the "Woest en Bijster Land", the old name for the South Veluwe heathlands bordering the peatlands of the Rhine valley. In the same region lie Celtic Fields that harbour a culture more than 3000 years old. Melodies rising from the trembling peat form an inspiration for the band's own songs; otherwise The Coincidences draws on Irish and Scottish traditions.

The band plays at all kinds of venues: from pubs like O'Casey's in The Hague to festivals like Keltfest, Elfia and Scottish Weekend, and from gardens like Tuin de Lage Oorsprong to churches at Celtic celebrations - and now Podium Doesburg. With extensive experience, plenty of humour and a good dose of Craic, the band always knows how to make it a party.
