Deurloo / Simcock / Peirani / Salque (INT)

In 2024, Hermine Deurloo (harmonica), Vincent Peirani (accordion) and Gwilym Simcock (piano) first came together in London. Now cellist François Salque joins this trio, expanding the ensemble into a European quartet that bridges jazz and classical chamber music.

Simcock, who toured for years with Pat Metheny, moves fluidly between jazz and classical as a composer and pianist. Salque anchors the ensemble with his expressive cello sound in a tradition where chamber music and improvisation complement each other. Deurloo brings lyrical, virtuosic lines on chromatic harmonica, while Peirani provides rhythmic and dynamic tension on accordion.
