Yoràn Vroom's Group of Friends

On Saturday, November 7, drummer and composer Yoràn Vroom brings his Group of Friends to Dordrecht. West African and Afro-Caribbean traditions are central to his compositions. Vroom spent years sharing the stage with artists such as Snarky Puppy, Ed Motta, Candy Dulfer, and Frank McComb; since 2021 he has devoted himself entirely to his own artistic direction. This has resulted in two albums and a composition commission from Amsterdam's BIMHUIS.

Group of Friends is a collective of musicians who each bring their own specialty and seek space for experimentation on stage. As a result, each concert sounds different.
