Big Rivers Presents: Zuco 103

Under the "Big Rivers Presents" banner, Muziekpodium DJS programmes a band each month that made waves at the Big Rivers Festival or is expected at a future edition. On Friday 13 November, it's Zuco 103's turn.

The band won an Edison Jazz Award in 2023 for the album Telenova and is considered a pioneer of brazilectro - a blend of Brazilian, electronic, funk and jazz sounds. Over the past 24 years they have released nine albums and scored multiple number-one singles. They have performed at Fuji Rock in Japan, Rock Werchter and the North Sea Jazz Festival, and collaborated with artists including Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Joe Jackson, Sergio Cavazzioli (Gilberto Gil) and Marcos Suzano.
